MANSEHRA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader and MPA Sardar Shahjehan Yousuf on Sunday asked employees of the Utility Store Corporation of Pakistan to ensure the availability of essential goods being sold at subsidised prices, otherwise strict legal action would be initiated against them.

“I am here by the order of prime minister to check subsidised essential goods availability at stores and strict legal action would be initiated if we found shortage and irregularities in the distribution,” he told reporters after visiting the different stores in the city and its suburbs.

Regional Managed Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan in Hazara, Salma Waheed briefed Sardar Yousuf on initiatives being taken by the corporation to ensure uninterrupted supply of all 19 essential items on which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a subsidy of over Rs12 billion.

“We have ensured accessibility of the subsidised items for customers at our stores across the region during the month of Ramazan,” she added.
