Sindh Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Haleem Adil Sheikh, who also served as the leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly during its last tenure, has expressed concern over the escalating inflation in the country.

In a statement issued on Friday, he warned that the arrival of an imported finance minister would further exacerbate the inflationary pressures. Sheikh stated that besides the International Monetary Fund package and the budget, other national issues were also yet to be addressed.

He criticised the government and stated that unelected individuals were sitting in the assemblies after stealing votes. The PTI leader maintained that the nation had entrusted its mandate to Imran Khan but that mandate was stolen by post-poll rigging.

Sheikh urged the power that be to reconsider their actions. He also highlighted the plight of the common people stating that they were unable to afford Sehri and Iftar meals due to the plundering of the nation by corrupt persons.

He assured the public that the PTI would reclaim the mandate that had been stolen. In response to the recent events, Sheikh mentioned his visit to the Adiala Jail after a court order but lamented that court order, he was not allowed to meet with Imran. The Sindh PTI chief said there was a strong need for the judiciary to restore its dignity.
