CICA playing vital role in Asian affairs: Sartaj Aziz
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) was playing a vital role in Asian affairs.
In an interview with the Radio China, he said it was very important to have good relations with countries having common fate in Asia.He said it was the need of the hour to combat the menace of terrorism crimes and resolve security issues.
He said that the Chinese president in his opening remarks at the 5th CICA Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Beijing on April 27, 28 expressed the hope that a new theory would be introduced for peace in Asia.
He said that Pakistan wanted to play its role for Asian development with the collaboration of China. He said the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was being implemented and people of China and Pakistan would benefit massively from it.It is worth mentioning that Sartaj Aziz attended 5th foreign ministers meeting of CICA in Beijing and represented Pakistan at the meeting.
