SUKKUR: The Ghotki Police on Thursday claimed to have recovered Hindu trader Retak Kumar who was kidnapped by the dacoits 44 days ago from Mirpur Mathelo.
Mirpur Mathelo DSP said the police conducted an operation against the dacoits near Mirpur Mathello, when they were shifting the hostage trader to another place. Upon seeing the police, the dacoits fled the scene, leaving behind the kidnapped trader, he added.
It should be noted that the protest demonstrations were held for several days in Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo, Jarwar, Khanpur Mahar, Shikarpur and other cities for the recovery of Retak Kumar and others.

Assailants also set house on fire, causing the bodies to burn and reducing all household belongings to ashes
However, more than 300 trucks were reportedly sent back from the Chappri checkpoint without any explanation
