PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali on Thursday inaugurated the foreign faculty hostel at the historic Islamia College University.
The 16-room hostel has been completed at a cost of Rs50 million with the financial assistance of Higher Education Commission. The governor announced funds for the green belt and beautification around the hostel.
Meanwhile, the governor chaired the meeting of the Senate of the University of Peshawar wherein the development budget of the university and other policy decisions were accorded formal approval. The upgradation of several departments and the awarding the status of meritorious professor to four faculty members of the university were also approved on the occasion.
