The Citizens-Police Liaisons Committee (CPLC) East, in close collaboration with the District East Police, launched a new Neighborhood Care (NC) project in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-3 on Monday.
Zubair Habib, chief the Sindh CPLC, District East Police chief SSP Irfan Bahadur, Abid Ozair, chief CPLC District East, Taimur Siddique, assistant chief of the CPLC Sindh, and Shabbar Raza, deputy chief of District East, attended the opening ceremony along with Block-3 neighbourhood members, municipal organisations’ elected representatives and residents of the area.
This marks another significant step towards community well-being and safety of masses living in District East. The Sindh CPLC chief reiterated that the community needs to come forward and help local police to ensure better place of living and working.
SSP Irfan Bahadur highlighted the significance of the initiative and vowed all assistance to make neighbourhood care projects successful and useful for public and for ensuring a safe and secure environment.
He stressed the need for the community to come forward and ensure that no criminal activities take place in their area through closer liaison with police. Abid Ozair, chief of the CPLC East, said that the choice of neighborhood care area is of great significance since it covers more than 400 houses, besides schools, mosques and commercial establishments.
