LAHORE: A motorcyclist died and two others were injured after being hit by a speeding bus in Factory Area. Reportedly, the victims were riding a bike and going somewhere. As they reached Factory Area, a private university bus hit the biker. The victims fell down and received injuries. They were shifted to hospital but one of the victims died. The injured victims were identified as Danish and Zaman Khan.
In another incident reported on Lytton Road, a 52-year-old motorcyclist died after being hit by two racing trucks. The victim identified as Abdul Ghafoor was going somewhere. Two trucks were racing and a driver lost control and hit the victim.
He received injuries and died. In the third incident, a 10-year-old boy died after being hit by a speeding train in Raiwind City. The boy reportedly was trying to cross the railway crossing when a speeding train hit him. He received serious injuries and died. Police removed the body to morgue.
Man injures sister-in-law
A man shot at and injured his sister-in-law in the Shahdara area. The suspect reportedly had exchanged harsh words with the victim over a domestic issue. He was so frustrated that he shot at her. Chowki Saggian Police on complaint arrested the suspect Sharafaq.
10 die in road accidents
Around 10 people died, whereas 1,514 were injured in 1,390 road traffic accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 707 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 807 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Guard found dead
A guard of a poultry farm was stabbed to death in the Kahna area by the unidentified suspects. Muhammad Akhlaq, son of victim Sharif, said that when he left the farm at night his father was fine. When he reached there in the morning he found him dead. The unidentified suspects had slit his throat. Police removed the body to morgue.
