Govt slammed for violating health bill commitments

MANDI BAHAUDDIN: PMA Punjab president Dr Ijaz Ahmad has accused the Punjab government of violating the Punjab health bill commitments.
Addressing an oath-taking ceremony of PMA Mandi Bahauddin chapter office-bearers here on Friday night, Dr Ijaz said the doctors community under the banner of Punjab Healthcare Commission extended cooperation to the government in finalising the bill but the rulers were now allegedly violating it. He alleged the authorities were busy minting money through challans. Dr Ijaz warned the government of boycotting the HCC registration. He said such behaviour of the rulers was causing disappointment among doctors who were shifting abroad. PMA president Dr Tariq Mehmood Chaddhar, secretary Dr Shaheed Nazar, central president of Surgeons Association Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, ADCG Afzal Ahmad Warraich, PHA president Dr Akhtar Javed Tabassum were also present.
