‘Protection of people’s life top priority of police’

JHANG: DPO Humayun Masood has said that protection of life and property of the people is the top priority of the police.
He said this while addressing a meeting of local MNAs and MPAs held to review law and order and overall crime rate situation in the district at his office on Saturday. Additional District Collector Abdul Qadir Shah and other officers also attended the meeting. The parliamentarians expressed satisfaction over the law and order situation and lauded the DPO for arranging open courts at different police stations. The DPO said that the DSPs and the SHOs deployed at patrolling duties had been directed not to disturb and harass common man during checking. He told the meeting that a large number of cops had been punished for showing poor performance.
