ISLAMABAD: PMLN leader Sobia Shahid has announced her resignation as an MNA on a reserved seat. In her statement on Saturday, Sobia Shahid declared her decision to resign from the reserved seat for women while maintaining her seat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Sobia Shahid, along with seven other MNAs, including four from the PML-N representing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was recently notified by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as members of the National Assembly on reserved seats for women, which were contested by the PTI-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC).
