PTI demands probe into killing of two ISF workers
He urged Chief Minister Amin Gandapur to order an impartial inquiry into the killing of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) members
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Secretary General Omar Ayub demanded an impartial inquiry into the killing of PTI’s two workers, Mohsin Khan and Hasan Zia, in Shangla District while peacefully protesting against the ‘daylight polls robbery’.
He urged Chief Minister Amin Gandapur to order an impartial inquiry into the killing of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) members to bring the culprits to justice.
Addressing a press conference alongside PTI MNAs Shandana Gulzar Khan, Shahid Khattak, and others, the PTI leader said they would raise their voices against this barbaric act on the floor of the house.
Omar Ayub said that PTI founder Imran Khan had always stressed the continuation of the struggle for the supremacy of the Constitution and rule of law, regardless of the challenges.
He argued that adhering to the principle of the supremacy of the rule of law and constitution was the only way to extricate the country from its deepening quagmire.
Speaking on the occasion, Shandana Gulzar said it was a painful chapter as Pakistan was resembling Kashmir and Palestine. She said that the situation in Pakistan was even more painful because Pakistanis were being killed by their people.
She said that how the two innocent PTI ISF members were killed reflected the level of fascism and brutality, as they were shot directly in the head.
The PTI MNA lamented that virtually the Constitution was being disregarded, whereas Articles 15, 16, and 17 granted them the right to free speech.
In addition to the killing of two party workers, 12 others were also injured while peacefully protesting against the ‘polls robbery’. She stressed that even if these martyrs belonged to the PPP or PMLN, it was equally condemnable because they were also Pakistanis.
PTI MNA Shahid Khattak mentioned that, under the vision of founder chairman Imran Khan, the ISF was created to provide future leaders to the country.
Consequently, there were several ISF members elected to the National Assembly and provincial assemblies.
He noted that two ISF members were martyred to instill fear, so they could not protect their votes.
PTI North President Seemabia Tahir said that the policy of divide and rule was no longer viable.
She warned that the killers of these two youths should understand that the entire nation was united and would not tolerate division or suppression in any part of the country.
