Blood collection camp held at KMU
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional Blood Centre organised a blood collection camp at Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar, in which faculty members, students and vice-chancellor of Khyber Medical University participated and donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor KMU Prof Dr. Ziaul Haq said that he had been donating blood after every four months for the last 18 years“There is no harm in donating blood. And I feel proud to participate in this service,” he added.
He said that it was their Islamic and social responsibility. “There are many people who are in dire need of blood in an emergency and there are also people who need blood frequently,” she said and urged the young people to accept their national responsibility and donate blood.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Ziaul Haq urged all members of the community, especially the youth, to accept their national responsibility by contributing to this noble cause.The blood collection camp highlighted the importance of unity in addressing critical healthcare needs within the community, which left a lasting impression on all participants.
