Green campus cleanliness drive launched
PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar and Al-khidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Thursday launched ‘green campus cleanliness drive’ to create awareness among the students and dwellers of the greater campus and plant more trees in order to combat the increasing challenges of climate change.
The drive started with an awareness walk in which a huge number of volunteers of AlKhidmat Foundation and students of the university took part.
Dean Faculty of Social UoP, Professor Dr. Johar Ali and Vice-President Alkhidmat Foundation Hafiz Hameedullah led the walk, which culminated at the Administration’s Block of the university after passing through various roads. Green Campus Project Director Dr Shakeel Khan, Deputy Director Administration, Gohar Rehman, Senior Manager Education and Volunteer Department Alkhidmat KP, Waheedullah, Volunteer Management Officer, Ateequllah Jan, Dr. Zafar and Ismail and Amir from the WSSP also joined the walk and the inauguration ceremony of the event.
