Residents want facilities for Darband tehsil

MANSEHRA: The residents on Wednesday demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to empower Darband as a full-fledged tehsil and address civic and other issues faced by them.

“Though the previous PTI government had given Darband a status of tehsil, it is yet to be made fully operational to address civic and other issues faced by locals,” Abdul Zaman Tanoli, the former district councilor, told reporters in Darband.

Flanked by a group of locals, he said it was an encouraging sign the Darband was given the status of another tehsil of Mansehra district but people were still left at the mercy of the Tehsil Municipal administration Oghi. Tanoli said that Revenue and other devolved departments were yet to open or relocate their offices in Darband town the tehsil headquarters to serve the people here.
