BARA: A four-day training workshop was arranged with the support of Community Resilience Activity North (CRA North) to strengthen the relationship between the local government (LG) representatives of the Khyber district and the government institutions.
About 30 LG representatives from the Khyber district participated in the training workshop.According to CRA North, the purpose was to strengthen the interaction of local representatives with the government institutions and increase the appeal of their work so that the government can play the role of a bridge between the institutions to solve the problems faced by the people. The LG representatives, government officials and Bara Tehsil Municipal Authority took part in the training session.
The official CRA said that training would be provided to more LG representatives from the Khyber district in the future and the request of 116 secretaries would be fulfilled. The participants thanked the CRA North and termed the training workshop very beneficial to them. They hoped it would be very helpful in solving the problems faced by the people and called for more training opportunities.
The training participants said that there should be a focus on the resolution of local problems and conflicts and the elimination of social deprivation.They stressed the social development of the local people to promote mutual relations among the local people to strengthen peace and stability.
