‘All welfare projects of Rawalpindi to be completed in time’

Rawalpindi: All the welfare projects of Rawalpindi will be completed in time with consultations of newly elected public representatives, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak hoped.

Commissioner Amir Khattak along with RPO Syed Khurram Geelani chaired the introductory meeting with the newly elected representatives of the Provincial Assembly. Total 23 members of Provincial Assembly elected from Rawalpindi Division participated in the meeting held here on Commissioner Office, Rawalpindi on Monday.

Commissioner said that our commitment is to provide relief to the people through teamwork with political and administrative officers. The administration and the elected representatives will play their constructive role to solve the problems of the people, he said.

He also said that the primary responsibility of the administration is to serve the people. The suggestions of the newly elected members of the provincial assembly will also be utilised for the completion of all the projects including the construction of Ring Road, Duduchha Dam, Commissioner claimed.

He said that practical steps will be taken in light of the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. All stakeholders are playing their practical role in the implementation of public welfare projects, he said.

No negligence will be tolerated in public welfare projects, he warned. Commissioner said that every officer has been instructed to give a timeline on the file coming to him.

It should be ensured that there is no unnecessary delay in any work, he said. The Commissioner said that newly elected representatives should also be part of the process to ensure transparency of the Ramadan package program.

Go to the field and monitor it yourself and bring it to our notice immediately in case of any deficiency, he advised. Cleanliness arrangements in the city, measures to eliminate littering and encroachments were also discussed on the occasion. Commissioner Rawalpindi congratulated the newly elected members of the provincial assembly individually and expressed his best wishes for them.
