PSCA receives 180,726 irrelevant calls in February

LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Monday released the statistics of calls received on Emergency Helpline 15 from Punjab, including Lahore, for February. The 15 Emergency Helpline received 1,101,587 calls last month. Some 180,726 calls were irrelevant, 155,777 were relevant ones, and 1,338 were about traffic management and city traffic police help out of 1,101,587 calls. The PSCA Lost and Found Centre recovered 61 motorcycles, three vehicles, and found 10 people.

87 squatters detained

The Lahore police have detained 87 squatters in last two months and booked 66 accused in the wake of the launch of the anti-encroachment campaign led by the district administration. In a statement, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized the police’s full cooperation with the district administration in combating encroachments.

OCU recovers over Rs20m

Organised Crime Unit south SP Aftab Phularwan Monday said the OCU had recovered over Rs20 million and two vehicles after tracing 150 robberies. Addressing a press conference, the SP said the OCU and Narcotics Investigations Unit south had arrested accused Humera, her sister Rakhshanda, Khuram Shahzad and M Ibrahim for their involvement in the killing of an elderly woman in Factory Area.
