LANDIKOTAL: District Police Officer Khyber, Salim Abbas Kulachi, removed nine more police officers from service on Monday after they were found guilty in an official inquiry.
A notification issued here stated that the nine policemen were charged with having secret relations with narcotics dealers and traffickers. A police official told this correspondent that the dismissed police personnel were involved in narcotics dealing and providing support to drug traffickers.
He said the DPO had also dismissed six more police officials from their service last week, who were found guilty in a departmental inquiry. The official alleged that the sacked cops were accepting money for facilitating drug dealers and traffickers.
The dismissed police officers were identified as Fida Muhammad, Farooq Khan, Shoaib Khan, former additional SHO Landikotal Fazal Rehman, Mahaazuddin, Shakirullah, Ishraq Khan, Fazal Karim, and Asif Akbar. The DPO also sent a separate letter to DIG of the Counter Terrorism Department (CDT), recommending Asif Khan’s dismissal.
