Vlogger remanded in FIA custody for three more days
At the outset of the hearing, the FIA requested the court to grant Toor’s remand for nine days, which was opposed by his counsel
ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court Sunday extended the remand of YouTuber Asad Toor to three more days for slurring the state institutions and civil servants.
Toor was presented before Duty Magistrate Abbas Shah after his remand expired.
At the outset of the hearing, the FIA requested the court to grant Toor’s remand for nine days, which was opposed by his counsel.
After hearing the arguments, the duty magistrate granted Toor’s three-day remand.
On February 27, Judicial Magistrate Islamabad Muhammad Shabbir had sent the vlogger on a five-day physical remand and directed the agency to produce him again on March 3.
According to the FIR, the vlogger allegedly ran a malicious campaign against the judiciary on the social media platforms X and YouTube.
