World Obesity Day seminar
LAHORE: The Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab is set to organise a seminar in commemoration of World Obesity Day at the SBP E-Library and Youth Centre in Nishtar Park Sports Complex today (Monday), starting at 12:30pm.
The seminar will be graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, Raja Jahangir Anwar, and Director General Sports Punjab, Dr Asif Tufail.
Rana Nadeem Anjum, Director Youth Affairs, expressed that the seminar would feature the participation of top health experts and representatives of the youth. The event aims to shed light on the detrimental effects of obesity, particularly in the context of sports figures. The seminar is expected to draw attendance from a diverse audience, including sports personalities, students from various colleges and universities, and health-conscious individuals.
The primary objective of the seminar is to create awareness about the adverse impacts of obesity, emphasising its implications for individuals involved in sports. The event aligns with the broader goal of promoting health and well-being, encouraging a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
