Presiding officers for presidential polls appointed
For the provincial assembly of Balochistan, Quetta, Chief Justice of High Court has been notified as the presiding officer
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan Wednesday notified five presiding officers for the conduct of upcoming presidential elections.
For the polling in Senate and National Assembly for the presidential election, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court and for Punjab Assembly, Lahore, Member Election Commission, Islamabad, have been notified.
Likewise, for provincial Assembly of Sindh, Karachi, Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has been notified as presiding officer, whereas for the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar, Peshawar High Court Chief Justice has been notified.
For the provincial assembly of Balochistan, Quetta, Chief Justice of High Court has been notified as the presiding officer.
The Election Commission said these presiding officers shall receive nomination papers from the candidates and preside over the meetings of the Majlis-e-Shoora, parliament, ad respective provincial assemblies.
