Invest in the people

The poor quality of education at all levels, has remained a serious problem in this country for several decades. It is now being reported that 51 out of the 154 universities across Pakistan are functioning without regular vice chancellors, disrupting the effective administration of these institutions.
Will education become a top priority of the incoming government? Will it receive the desired share of government spending? Education should always be a top priority, not an afterthought. Only time will tell whether this new government of old rulers will invest in the people.
