ISLAMABAD: Judicial Magistrate Islamabad Shaista Khan Kundi acquitted Raja Khurram Nawaz, Ali Nawaz Awan and others present in the courtroom in the cases related to Azadi March and sought a reply from the jail authorities on the production request of founder PTI.
On Monday, judicial magistrate heard the case, then PTI lawyer Amina Ali appeared in the court. During the hearing, Raja Khurram Nawaz applied for the cancellation of the arrest warrant, which the court granted. The court ordered the presence of the accused in the courtroom in the cases of Police Station Sihala and Police Station Lohi Bhir and ordered the acquittal of all the accused including Raja Khurram Nawaz, Ali Nawaz Awan and former chairman Union Council Malik Akhlaq.
The court adjourned the hearing for further proceedings related to the absent accused in both the cases, while seeking a response from the jail authorities on the production request of founder PTI.
In another case, Judicial Magistrate Islamabad Mureed Abbas acquitted Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Malik Rafiq and Mian Amjad in the case registered in Margalla Police Station for violation of Section 144 and Azadi March.
