Sindh Rangers achievements lauded at 31st passing-out parade

The 31st passing-out parade of the Sindh Rangers was held on Monday in Karachi where Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar was the chief guest.

A grand ceremony of the passing-out parade was held at the Rangers Training Centre and School Karachi. Director General Sindh Rangers Major General Azhar Waqas received Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar.

The chief guest distributed prizes among recruits who performed well during the training. The corps commander said in his address: “I was very happy to see the high standards of today's parade. This day is a milestone in their future. Sindh Rangers have shown very high performance, bravery and enthusiasm in every field. The responsibilities of protecting the international border, successful operations against terrorists and criminals in Karachi and providing the most effective security at various national and provincial level events were found with full professionalism.”

The chief guest further said that the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) has made significant achievements over the years to restore peace, especially in the city of Karachi. The Rangers has successfully arrested several criminals and handed them over to the police. Along with this, a large amount of arms and ammunition havealso been recovered, while the prompt and effective response of the Rangers (Sindh) in the KPO incident was appreciated by all, the ceremony was told.

The Sindh Rangers has played a key role in the special operations, especially in the Kachha area as well as prevention of smuggling, effective measures against water theft in Karachi and the return of foreign nationals living illegally.

The Rangers is pride and its fruits are clearly visible in the form of restoration of peace across the province. On this occasion, senior officers of law enforcement agencies and distinguished guests from different fields as well as relatives of the passing out jawans were also present on the occasion. A Sindh Rangers Camel Squad contingent also performed in the parade, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
