He said his vision was to build a small recreational centre and food street in every area of Karachi so that people did not have to go far. “The food street built in Clifton Boat Basin is a test case for us. If this food street proves successful, we would like to build such a food street in every district of Karachi,” he said.

He said that an open air theater dedicated to renowned musician Sohail Rana had also been built in the food street, besides providing washroom facility for men and women. He remarked that there were six parks in the entire area where there were no washrooms.
He explained that they had repaired the sewerage system and also designed a parking facility for the food street. Wahab also announced on the occasion that four lions and two ostriches donated to the Karachi zoo would be arriving at the zoo soon.
