Eight BRA men surrender to FC, seven injured in Hub bomb blast

QUETTA: Six militants were killed in an operation in the Awaran district while eight militants surrendered to the Frontier Corps, Balochistan, in the Mawand area of Kohlu district on Tuesday.
Sources said six terrorists were killed, several others were injured and a security personnel embraced martyrdom in an operation in the Mashkay area of Awaran district. The FC launched a search operation in the Mashkay area of Awaran district against the militants. “The militants opened indiscriminate fire at the FC personnel as they reached the area and the FC also retaliated against the attack,” a spokesman for the FC said adding that in an exchange of fire, six militants were killed on the spot and several others were injured. He said that one personnel of the FC embraced martyrdom.
Meanwhile, eight militants surrendered to the Mawand Rifles of FC Balochistan in the Mawand area of Kohlu district. The militants belonging to the banned militant organisation, Balochistan Republican Army (BRA), headed by their commander, Shehk alias Chala Resh surrendered to the FC.
Colonel Masroor-ur-Rehman and tribal elders, including Khan Masori, Tariq Masori and Jalalud Din Kalpar, were also present on the occasion.Separately, seven people were injured in a bomb blast in the industrial town of Hub. Police said that unidentified men planted explosives on roadside and detonated it when a bus loaded with passengers was passing through the area.
“Seven people received injuries when a roadside bomb blast hit a bus in the industrial town of Hub,” police said.The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. The police said the victims were workers of a private factory in the Sakran area of Lasbela district and were on a bus to Karachi when the roadside bomb was detonated near their bus.The police have registered a case against the suspects and started efforts to arrest them.
