IGP interacts with cops’ families

LAHORE: IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has directed police officers concerned to provide relief to several police personnel. He issued these directions during his meeting with police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office on Thursday.

He directed DIG Legal to take action on the request of ASI Niaz Ahmed Khan of Muzaffargarh for service period fixation. On the application submitted by ASI Ghulam Murtaza’s son, he ordered DPO Sialkot to provide relief as per merit. IG directed the DIG Welfare to provide relief on the request of Constable Sardar Khalil Ahmed for medical assistance. He further ordered to provide relief to a driver constable M Shahzad and retired Constable Atta Muhammad.

DIG condoles with JAH leader

DIG Operations Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met the central leader of Jamaat Ahl-e-Hadith Allama Shakeelur Rehman Nasir at his house. President of Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith Pakistan Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer was also present. Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi expressed condolences with Shakilur Rehman over the dacoity murder of his son. He also recited Fatiha for the deceased. The DIG Operations also assured of arresting the accused involved in the incident soon and bring them to justice. It should be remembered that the deceased Hafiz Abdul Rehman Nasir was killed two days ago during robbery resistance.

Foolproof security

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Thursday said Lahore Police was fully mobilised to ensure peaceful atmosphere during PSL matches as foolproof security arrangements had been made for local and foreign cricketers, officials, and fans. Highlighting the security arrangements for PSL matches, the CCPO said the matches would be held in a peaceful and safe environment.
