Citizen tortured by DHQ Hospital’s guards

GUJRANWALA: A citizen was allegedly tortured by five security guards of the DHQ Hospital when he was trying to enter in a ward of the hospital.

Bilal of Dhulley came at the hospital to see his ill friend but security guard Iftikhar allegedly barred him from entering in the ward. In the meantime, four more security guards came and allegedly beat and tortured Bilal. Later, the injured man was handed over to Civil Lines police. On the other hand, people told media that the security guards use abusive language against visitors but no action was taken against them despite several complaints of the citizens.

 

Woman, her kids stage sit-in against DCO

GUJRANWALA: A woman along with her children protested and staged a sit-in against the alleged misbehaviour of the DCO with her.

Bushra Bibi of Noshera Virkan alleged that she came at the DCO Office for submitting a complaint against teachers of Government Primary School Garri for not providing text books of class one to her daughter. She alleged that when she met the DCO and asked him to provide her text books he got angry, misbehaved with her and used rough language against her. Later, the woman along with her kids staged a sit-in and blocked traffic. In the meantime, DOC Dr Rani Hafsa, AC City Attiqur Rehman and other officers rushed to the spot and requested the woman to stop her protest. Talking to media, DOC Rani Hafsa claimed that the DCO did not misbehave with the woman and according to their information the woman was not mentally fit.
