MURIDKE: Seven members of a family died in a road crash on the GT Road here on Saturday while three persons were injured, police said.
Rescue officials said a car carrying the deceased and a truck collided at the Ravi Ryan U-turn owing to speeding. The passengers were traveling from Multan to Gujranwala. They were identified as Zaheer Ahmed, his wife Irum, sons Ayan and Abdul Wahab and relatives Shehbaz and Iman. The injured namely Shamim, Naseem and Khadeeja are said to be in a precarious condition. The bodies and injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Muridke. Later, the injured were transferred to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore. Police have taken the truck into custody and searching for its driver.
