NOWSHERA: A man allegedly shot dead his son in Ali Beg area of the district on Saturday.
Ishrat Bibi, the wife of the accused Naimat, told the police that she, along with her sons Yaseen and Wasim, were present at home when Naimat entered and started firing at them. The firing resulted in the death of Yaseen.
She said that her husband was addicted to narcotics, and when prevented from indulging in his addiction, he allegedly resorted to firing at his family members.
It was also revealed by the police that the deceased Yaseen had also been accused of firing at his father in the past.
Expressing concern for their safety, the victim’s brother Wasim said that his father was currently armed and roaming the village, threatening to further harm his other family members.The police said they had initiated an operation to arrest the accused.
