ALPURI: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and returning officers to review the results of NA-11 in the Shangla district and check any discrepancies between Form-45 and Form-47.

The results of NA-11 in the Shangla district remain disputed despite recent notification from the ECP.

After moving the PHC, the PTI’s Syed Farid Khan filed a petition in the Supreme Court, Election Commission, and Islamabad High Court. However, the Islamabad court rejected the case since it was already being heard by the PHC.

Syed Farid stated that if the decision on the results of NA-11 Shangla is made according to Form 45, they would accept it.

He alleged that massive rigging occurred in 13 constituencies, and Form 45 was altered.

He said all polling stations’ Form 45s were in their possession, showing a clear lead in their favour.

Yesterday, the PHC reserved its decision on the constituency, and announced it on Friday, stating that the ECP and the relevant ROs should prepare Form 47 according to Form 45 and issue notifications afterward.
