Man poisoned to death over property

LAHORE:A man was allegedly poisoned to death over a property dispute in the Kahna area. The victim Zeeshan reportedly had a financial dispute with the prime suspect Ahsen, a property dealer.

On the day of the incident, he lured the victim to his office on Shahzada Road. Along with his accomplices, he coerced him into signing a document and snatched cash. Later, the suspect also forced him to drink poison. When his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to hospital where he died. Police removed the body to morgue, collected evidences from the crime scene and also recorded statements of the eye-witnesses. Reportedly, the suspect, a property dealer, wanted the victim to get a property registered against him name but he refused.

Eight die in road accidents in 24 hours

Around eight people died, whereas 1,436 were injured in 1,331 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 641 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 795 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site.

Two robbers arrested

Sabzazar Police arrested two members of a robbers’ gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Raza and Ali Raza. Police also recovered two pistols, motorbikes, four mobile phones and cash from their custody.
