Speedy disposal of overseas Pakistanis’ cases ordered
LAHORE
The Board of Revenue (BOR) has issued instructions to the revenue courts and revenue officers to decide the revenue judicial cases pertaining to the overseas Pakistanis within 90 days.
A meeting to settle modalities in this regard was held between Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti and Board of Revenue Senior Member Jawwad Rafique Malik. It was decided that for expeditious disposal of revenue judicial cases of Overseas Pakistanis, OPC and BOR high-ups would meet fortnightly to review the pace of the proceedings on the pending cases.
The BOR senior member informed the OPC Punjab commissioner that instructions had also been conveyed to the revenue officers of the all districts of the province for quick disposal of the cases of the overseas Pakistanis.
Afzaal Bhatti said that for the prompt decisions of the revenue judicial cases of the overseas Pakistanis, the role of revenue officers was of great importance.
The matters pertaining to deployment of BOR staff at the OPC office also came under discussion.
