LAHORE

Responding to allegations placed on the government through the Panama Leaks issue, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Wednesday stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is only satisfied through outcomes which favour him in any manner possible.

Addressing a ceremony held by Trade Union Lahore, Sadiq lambasted his rival in local bodies’ elections, Aleem Khan, by stating that Khan submitted false affidavits to the Election Commission, adding such lies have become intolerable for Aleem. Sadiq hoped the Election Commission will give its verdict in his favour in regards to the writ he has filed against Aleem Khan.  Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should take action against those people who hurl baseless allegations.

He said allegations of changing voter's lists of my constituency were baseless and added that the ECP fulfilling its responsibility should take action against them.  To a question, Ayaz said counsel of Abdul Aleem Khan was trying to escape from the ECP but he would not provide any opportunity to flee.

To another question about the commission announced by the premier, Ayaz said Imran Khan only accepted those things which were in his favour. He said PML-N had started its 2018 election campaign just after coming to power in 2013 through development projects and other record breaking performances.

He said issues of traders would be resolved on priority while development works in his constituency would be carried out.
