ISLAMABAD: Faisal Karim Kundi, the Information Secretary of the Pakistan People’s Party, raised a question regarding the nomination of Ali Amin Gandapur for chief minister, asking whether a person involved in the May 9 incident could become a candidate for the slot.
“Will individuals involved in a significant tragedy like May 9 be honoured in this manner?” he questioned during a media interaction here on Tuesday.
Kundi said that the nominations of Ali Amin Gandapur as chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Mian Aslam as chief minister of Punjab raise significant concerns.
“If such a scenario persists, individuals involved in the May 9 incident may even be considered for the position of prime minister,” he added. “If such circumstances persist, the May 9 tragedy case should be reevaluated,” he concluded.
