Pakistan’s per capita water availability has declined by over 80 per cent in around the last seven decades according to the UN Global Water Security 2023 Assessment. One of the main factors driving the country’s water scarcity crisis is poor water monitoring systems, which leads to a lack of integrated water resources management.
The government and water authorities need to work together on a plan to improve the management and monitoring of our water resources.
