ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Information Secretary Raoof Hasan claimed Saturday that over 60 National Assembly seats were unfairly taken from them through discrepancies in Form-45 and Form-47, prompting them to pursue legal action.
Speaking on a Geo News talk show, Hasan emphasized the importance of legal battle and outlined two main issues: discrepancies in Form-45, some were not issued Form-47, denying the PTI access to critical information.
Hasan expressed the intent to challenge these discrepancies, noting that around 60 seats were affected, with Form-45 available for 23 seats, while for nearly 40 seats, Form-45 was not provided.
He said that PTI members were sometimes prevented from receiving Form-45, leading to subsequent complications. Regarding potential delays in tribunal proceedings, he expressed confidence in the evidence and suggested that tribunals could decide within 24 hours. Responding to queries about forming a government without coalition partners or reserved seats for women, the PTI leader mentioned plans to fight for PTI’s legal status, citing the recent Supreme Court rulings. He said that when independents join a party with the right to claim reserved seats, the quota automatically adjusts accordingly. Regarding undisclosed options for government formation, he mentioned discussions in the core committee meeting and reiterated the PTI’s determination to form the federal government.
