JI candidate sees plot behind defeat in polls
CHITRAL: Jamaat-e-Islami losing candidate on NA-1 Abdul Akbar Chitrali on Saturday accused the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl candidate of pre-poll rigging and using unfair means during the elections.
Speaking at a press conference, he alleged that JUIF candidate for NA-1 Talha Mehmood was openly violating the code of conduct and distributing ration and cash money among the voters.
He said that the JUIF candidate had introduced a new trend, which had distorted democratic norms in Chitral.
The JI ex-lawmaker said that JUIF was not happy with him as he had exposed the corruption of their ministers on the floor of the National Assembly during the previous Pakistan Democratic Movement government.
He said that JUIF had never wasted any opportunity of minting money and grabbing powers and always remained part of every government in the past.
