PMLN, IPP get 31pc of votes, PTI 17pc from Lahore
The PMLN got an average of 153,000 votes per constituency
LAHORE: The total number of votes on the 14 National Assembly seats from Lahore was 6.83 million. On the election day (Thursday), 83,012,923 votes were cast, while 52,592 were rejected. The voting rate remained at 44 percent.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), including the two seats of Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP), came first with a total of 2.15 million votes, which is 31 percent of the registered votes. The PMLN got an average of 153,000 votes per constituency. The PTI-backed candidates stood second with 1,148,211 votes, which is 17 percent of the registered votes. PTI secured an average of 82,000 votes per constituency.
Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) came third with 310,364 votes, which is 4 percent of the registered votes. TLP got an average of 22,000 votes per constituency. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was the fourth with 68,614 votes, which is 1 percent of the registered votes. PPP got an average of 4,900 votes per constituency. Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) came fifth with 59,787 votes, which is 0.8 percent of the registered votes. The JI could get an average of 4,200 votes per constituency.
