LAHORE: The returning officer (RO), NA-87, Khushab, has tendered his resignation from the post.
RO Ahmed Sohaib wrote in his resignation that the last two or three days were like a nightmare for him. He said he did not want to go into details. On the other hand, according to the provisional and unofficial results of all 345 polling stations of NA-87 Khushab, the PML-N’s Shakir Bashir Awan has won with 117,773 votes. The PTI-backed independent candidate Umar Aslam Khan secured second position with 108,308 votes.
