RPO asked to arrest cops wanted by ACE

GUJRANWALA: Anti-Corruption Establishment Director Rana Abdul Shakoor has asked the Gujranwala RPO to arrest the police officials wanted by the ACE in different cases and produce them before the ACE court.
The ACE director in a letter told the RPO that Sohdra police SHO Muhammad Naeem Butt, under-training SI Mubashar, SI Karamat Ali, SI Saifullah, ASI Muhammad Fayyaz and ASI Muhammad Afzal were allegedly involved in corruption and misuse of power cases and their presence for inquiry and hearing of their cases was necessary at the ACE Office.

The DFC told here on Tuesday that every farmer would get 10 bags per acre land. He said that 18 purchase centers had been set up in the district to achieve the target of 221,000 metric tons wheat. He said that all necessary facilities would be available at the purchase centres.
‘Punjab Safe City Project to curb crimes’

GUJRANWALA: All necessary arrangements have been adopted for introducing the police command and control system under the Punjab Safe City Project here.
The system would help control street crimes and terrorist activities, said SP Civil Lines Nadeem Khokhar while talking to reporters in his office on Tuesday. The SP told that after introducing the system in Gujranwala, CCTV cameras would be installed at all important roads and crossings across the city and movements of vehicles and suspects would be checked thoroughly. Nadeem Khokhar said that tracker system would be installed in the government’s vehicles, which would help locate the actual position of staff.
