Perpetuating poverty

Child labour is a deeply concerning problem in Pakistan. Children as young as 10 are being forced to work in order to secure their families’ basic needs. The root cause of this issue can be traced back to the pervasive poverty that ravages many communities in the country. The consequences of child labour are severe. Their education is disrupted, denying them the fundamental right to learn and grow and perpetuating a cycle of intergenerational poverty.

Perpetuating poverty

I implore the government to take effective measures to safeguard the rights and welfare of vulnerable children. Offering support to impoverished families and creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods could help alleviate this problem in the long run. It is high time we eradicate this injustice and secure a brighter future for our nation.
