Law, order remains under control, says Naqvi

The chief minister and the provincial election commissioner held a meeting in which

complete satisfaction was expressed over making excellent arrangements for holding general elections in a peaceful environment across the province.

Mohsin Naqvi, while expressing his views, said that polling was held in a peaceful manner across Punjab, adding that excellent coordination remained between all the relevant provincial departments and the Provincial Election Commission.

The law and order situation remained under control on the whole owing to excellent steps being taken by the Punjab government across the province. The electorates used their right to vote in an independent manner, he added.Mohsin Naqvi visited the Central Control Room established by the home department at the Civil Secretariat to review and monitor arrangements made for holding the general elections across the province.

The chief minister went to the central control room and conducted a detailed review of the monitoring arrangements. The home secretary gave a briefing to the chief minister about arrangements being undertaken to ensure holding of general elections in a peaceful environment besides the monitoring system. Mohsin Naqvi stated that a crucial phase of holding general elections had been completed in a peaceful and nice manner.

The police, administration and law enforcement institutions jointly maintained law and order environment during the general elections.The Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi acknowledged that excellent arrangements had been made for holding the general elections in every city of Punjab, including Lahore.

Casts vote at Riwaz Garden

The chief minister cast his vote in the polling station at Junior Model School Riwaz Garden. Unveils upgraded facilities at PICThe chief minister inaugurated the upgraded second and third floors, new lab and diagnostic centre at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), completed within a span of just 25 days. The CM appreciated secretary communication and works, health & commissioner Lahore for their hard work.

Expressing his satisfaction, the CM emphasised that the inauguration of the diagnostic centre, accomplished in an unprecedented time frame of two to three weeks, underscored the collective determination and collaboration of all stakeholders.

Lays virtual foundation stone of 40 police stations

Mohsin Naqvi performed the virtual groundbreaking for 40 state-of-the-art police stations in Sabzazar, simultaneously commencing construction at the Sherakot police station site with the use of an excavator.

Accompanied by senior police officials, IG Usman Anwar briefed about the project. Expressing his vision, the CM outlined plans for the construction of 22 smart police stations in Lahore and 18 in other cities across the province. Additionally, he highlighted the establishment of dispute resolution centres within these facilities to expedite the resolution of public grievances.

He mentioned the provision of separate entrances for men and women. Acknowledging the pressing need for these modernised police stations, the CM affirmed plans for their further expansion, recognising them as imperative solutions for societal challenges.
