Bilawal to lead coalition govt as PM: PPP
Nawaz Sharif always backed out of agreements and PPP always stood firm on its commitments: says Bokhari
ISLAMABAD: “The Pakistan Peoples Party is hopeful that the dawn of February 8 will see the victory of PPP. The PPP always believe in dialogue. If a coalition government is formed after the elections, it will be led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as PM,” said PPP Secretary General Nayyer Hussain Bokhari and Senator Palwasha Khan here Monday.
Addressing media here, Bokhari said Nawaz Sharif always backed out of agreements and the PPP always stood firm on its commitments. The violation of the Charter of Democracy was first done by Nawaz Sharif. The stability of Pakistan depends on these elections. “The economic stability will come with political stability,” he said, adding that PPP election posters were torn and offices were illegally raided on the wish of PMLN candidates in Lahore, but the Election Commission of Pakistan did not take any action. “I cannot say anything about the performance of the commission yet, its performance will be seen on February 8,” he said and added that 1,100 CDA sanitary workers were being deprived of their right to vote, the election commission should take notice of this. “The time for postal ballots has expired, a complaint is being sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan in this regard,” he said.
Palwasha said: “PMLN candidate Atta Tarar is threatening Bilawal and our voters, but we are not afraid of their threats. The nation has not forgotten the tradition of PMLN briefcase, the experience of buying votes is very old.” She said it was Asif Ali Zardari who made Shehbaz Sharif the prime minister. “Where the PMLN stands today is due to Zardari. We fear that the PMLN wants to repeat the history of Madden Town, the Election Commission of Pakistan should take action,” she said, adding that Tarar should know that the PMLN was going to suffer public anger.
