ECP imposes fine on Wahab for violating code of conduct

The District Central district monitoring officer of the Election Commission of Pakistan imposed a fine of Rs49,000 on Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab on Sunday.
According to an order issued by the officer, the Karachi did not appear in person or through counsel to explain his position for violating the code of conduct for the general elections issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan, which prompted the officer to pass this one-sided decision of imposition of penalty of a fine amounting to Rs49,900 on Wahab.
