Refusal to use biometric attendance system
DAO directed to withhold salaries of 22 doctors

JHANG: Taking notice of refusal from using biometric attendance system and absent from duty, the district headquarters hospital administration has asked the district accounts officer to withhold salaries of 22 doctors till the decision of an inquiry.
According to a letter No 5310-31, DHQ Hospital officiating medical superintendent Dr Iftikhar Noor has sought explanation from the 22 doctors for absent from duty and refusing to use biometric attendance system.
Meanwhile, the doctors held a meeting on the hospital premises on Monday and boycotted the biometric attendance system. They warned the administration to restrain from the alleged discriminatory action against the doctors otherwise they would go on leave. They demanded restoration of old attendance system (marking attendance on register) in the hospital.
