Youth killed, another hurt on road

DASKA: A youth was killed while another sustained injuries in an accident in Sadar police area on Monday.

Shahzeb, a 10th class student, and his friend were on their way home when their bike struck against a roadside tree near Golathian. As a result, both friends were injured and shifted to the Civil Hospital where Shahzeb succumbed to his injuries.

14 GAMBLERS HELD: Satra police on Monday arrested 14 alleged gamblers and recovered stake money from them.

On a tip-off, the police raided a den and arrested 14 alleged gamblers including Ahsan Arshad, Ali Ahmed, Shahzad Ahmed, Nasir Mahmood, Shani, Waqar Ahmed, Ali Raza, Ali Ahmed, Shahid, Rafaqat Ali, Sajjad Ahmed, Anwar and Hamza.

VALUABLES LOOTED: Two dacoity incidents were reported here on Monday.

Shakeel Ahmed and his wife were on their way home when two dacoits intercepted them and looted cash, gold ornaments and cell phones. Thieves took way cash and other valuables from the house of Munawar Bibi.
