Pak-Bahrain defence cooperation to be expanded: Javed Malik
BAHRAIN: Pakistan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Javed Malik, while welcoming the Pakistani ship PNS Muhafiz as it arrived in Bahrain to take part in the regular exercises, has hailed and appreciated the longstanding and historic relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain and said that "relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain are growing in all areas including defence cooperation, says a press release on Monday.
Bahrain is an important and strategic country in the region, and Pakistan believes in working closely with friends and allies in the GCC to ensure regional peace and stability, he said. He appreciated the maritime role of the Navy in ensuring and protecting trade routes and making a vital contribution towards preserving regional stability.
Earlier, Commander Kamran Jabbar welcomed the guests on an on-board reception on PNS Muhafiz which was attended by a naval officers and community notables based in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
