BISP takes strides in social protection

Islamabad : In a recent address, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Chairperson of BISP, declared the program's global prominence in social protection, emphasizing its compassionate support to 9.3 million families.

Recognized for transparency and efficiency, BISP has initiated innovative projects and addressed concerns, introducing a new banking system to ensure fair fund distribution.

Responding to challenges, BISP increased Benazir Kafaalat's quarterly instalment by Rs1750, now providing eligible women Rs10,500. Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma also saw increments, benefiting millions. A modern call centre, launched in collaboration with the National Telecommunication Corporation, offers authentic information and grievance resolution at 080026477.

The introduction of a 'Saving Scheme' encourages savings among 150,000 consumers, with BISP contributing 40% quarterly. Digital literacy programs and a voucher scheme for technical training highlight BISP's commitment to holistic development. Mobile Registration Vehicles in remote areas and model offices at the tehsil level enhance accessibility and service efficiency.
