Rs9.914bn uplift schemes approved

LAHORE : The 46th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held under the Chairmanship of P&D Board Chairman Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, and approved five development schemes of the regional planning, energy, governance, and public building sector at an estimated cost of Rs9.914 billion.

The approved schemes included regional planning in Punjab at the cost of Rs477.647 million, Energy Efficiency & Conservation Programme (PGDP, DLI-5) (Revised) at the cost of Rs3.445 billion, Revamping of data centre services with facility of high availability and backup of PFSA (Revised) at the cost of Rs785.602 million, rehabilitation/renovation of LG&CD building and H-Block (now Ravi Block) in Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore, along with parking arrangements at the site of existing building of health department at the cost of Rs657.776 million and construction of 313 residences for police officers/ officials (BS 1- 20) at Lahore. (Phase-II) at the cost of Rs4.548 billion.

Proposals to increase govt revenue discussed

A meeting of Public Financial Management Reform Steering Committee (PFMRC) held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Bilal Afzal here at Finance Department.

Secretary Punjab Board of Revenue, Secretary P&D, Head of PFMU and officers of PITB, Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority, Board of Revenue and Finance Department also participated.

The meeting reviewed the progress and implementation of the World Bank-funded Punjab Resource Improvement and Digital Effectiveness (PRIDE) programme.
